Deadmau5 has lifted the lid on his release schedule for the rest of the year. An artist album has been promised for a number of years now, and will now release a new album later this year with a series EPs proceeding it which will be compiled into the album.
The first of a series of EPs is entitled 'The Veldt', which is due out 22nd June 2012 through mau5trap/Parlophone. The lead single, also called 'The Veldt' and is released as a single 6th May, features vocals from Chris James, who sent the vocals to Mr. Zimmerman during a live stream after he posted a work-in-progress of the track onto SoundCloud. Deadmau5 was blown away by the vocals which now feature on the release. The EP also includes remixes of the track and Deadmau5's collaboration with Cypress Hill on 'Failbait'.
'The Veldt' will receive its premiere tonight on Pete Tong's show on BBC Radio 1 from 9pm BST.
